Stormy weather caused a landslide affecting about 30 feet of hillside along a main thoroughfare in San Bruno, city officials said Tuesday.
Hillside eroded along the eastern side of San Bruno Avenue between Crestmoor and Glenview drives, and about 10 feet of hillside remains between the edge of the slope and the sidewalk, according to the city.
City Manager Jovan Grogan issued a resolution proclaiming a local emergency Tuesday. The proclamation will allow the city to quickly acquire assistance for the response to the landslide.
The sidewalk and right westbound lane on San Bruno Avenue will be closed in the area until further notice, according to the city.
