Lots of Leads But No Arrests in 580 Shooting

Richmond Police are learning that lots of anonymous tips do not add up to solving last week's deadly interstate 580 shooting quickly.

A detective tells NBC Bay Area News, that althought they've received more tips than usual in a murder investigation, they are no where near near making an arrest.

21-year old Marcus Russell, an aspiring rapper and father to a one year old girl, was gunned down while driving on 580, near the marina bay parkway on-ramp last Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses described a red van pulling up to Russell's car, and unloading at least 19 rounds.

A 19-year old female passenger was shot in the leg, but she survived.
