Milpitas police on Monday announced the arrest of a homeless man who had been captured on surveillance video allegedly breaking into a pizza parlor.
Sgt. Huy Trans said 54-year-old Craig Irvin Brayfield was taken into custody on Friday after the alarm went off at Stuft Pizza on Dempsey Road about 3 a.m. Surveillance video, which showed someone entering the business, led police to Brayfield, whom they knew from “prior contacts,” Trans said.
Police found him at a homeless encampment in Milpitas and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail in connection with burglary charges.
Police did not state what was stolen from the pizzeria.
