San Francisco police called an emergency press conference Saturday to alert the public about a missing 2-year-old girl.
Arianna Fitts was last seen in late February, but wasn't reported missing until April 5 when her mother, Nicole Fitts, went missing. Nicole is the victim of a homicide whose body was found Friday, according to police
Police did not provide further details on where Nicole was found or how she was killed.
The mother and daughter lived in San Francisco, but were known to frequent San Mateo, Fresno, Santa Cruz, Silicon Valley, Oakland, along with other Bay Area and Southern California locations.
According to San Francisco Police Department Officer Grace Gatpandan, Arianna "is considered 'at risk' due to her young age, and because police suspect foul play in her disappearance."
"The more people that are aware of her, the better," said Gatpandan.
The department announced that the girl was missing via Twitter shortly after 9:20 p.m.
