Morgan Hill Police Seek Driver of White Van

The three incidents are not officially connected, according to police

Late Friday night, Morgan Hill police released a sketch of a man they say may be connected to three crimes in the past few weeks.

On three separate occasions young women or girls have reported being bothered by a man in a white van.

The latest case happened Friday morning when a young girl said she was chased down the street before her apparent abductor took off in a white van.

Police said the girl was walking along Ciolino Avenue just before 9 a.m. when she noticed a white midsized utility type van following her.  A white adult male in his mid 30s got out of the van and started chasing her.

The victim ran and was able to get to a neighbor’s house where police were called.

The van was last seen traveling south bound on Monterey Road.

The victim described the man as a short, balding chubby man with no facial hair. The van was described as a white midsized utility type van.

Police were able to make a sketch from the girl's description (see below).

Police said on Nov, 7 a 14 year old girl reported seeing a white utility van with red lettering on the side driven by a white male adult in his 30’s with light colored hair in the area of Peak Avenue and Dewitt Avenue.

Police said the van appeared to be following her as she was walking for several blocks in the area. The vehicle was not located and is still outstanding.

On Nov. 24, a jogger reported being followed by a white utility van with orange lettering on the side while she was in the area of Del Monte Avenue and Foothill Court.

The van was gone upon police arrival.
