A very disturbing incident of a Newtown-related threat has landed a North Bay teenager in handcuffs.
Fairfield police said on Monday morning around 9 a.m. they learned a Fairfield resident had been posting comments on the internet indicating that he both supported the actions of the school shooter in Connecticut and had thoughts of possibly committing similar acts.
The suspect is 18-year-old Sergio Cabada.
Police said they immediately put the Fairfield Police Investigations Bureau on the case.
By 3:30 p.m. investigators were serving a search warrant at the suspect's home in Suisun.
Inside the home police seized several items in an effort to both complete the criminal investigation and to prevent any acts of violence by Cabada, police said.

Cabada was arrested without incident.
"The quick response of the department is a reflection of our dedication to the safety of our community and the strong desire to prevent any possible acts of violence on the scale suggested by Cabada’s postings," the Fairfield police statement read.
Cabada was booked into Solano County Jail on felony charges of criminal threats.
A similar kind of investigation out of Los Angeles ended with no charges.
A man named Kyle Bangayan, 24, told police that he was joking when he wrote that if people didn't stop posting about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings on Facebook, then he would do the same thing.
Bangayan told police that he was joking.
The Associated Press reported that FBI agents talked to his parents, searched his apartment and car, and found nothing threatening. The district attorney said Tuesday, Bangayan will not be charged.
