What emergency crews thought was an explosion near Powell BART Station in San Francisco Saturday evening turned out to be a firework, police said.
The San Francisco Police Department and Fire Department responded to the area of 5th and Market around 6:50 p.m. after reports came in about a loud explosion.
Upon arrival, they discovered it was a firework that was set off in the area. No one was injured and all advisories were lifted by 8 p.m.
No additional information was immediately available.
