Authorities are investigating an email sent by a hacker to Contra Costa County officials notifying them of possible corruption at a Concord charter school.
The Oakland Tribune reports the email sent by the hacker claiming association with Anonymous, a network of Internet hackers and activists, was sent to Contra Costa County Office of Education Superintendent Karen Sakata and board members last week.
The message said that Anonymous had gathered documents exposing the "manipulation and greed" surrounding Clayton Valley Charter High School.
Clayton Valley Executive Director David Linzey and school officials declined to comment, citing an ongoing police investigation.
Police have confirmed that the hacker obtained the contents of at least one school staff member's email account.
Police are continuing to investigate the hack and who might be responsible
