Police: Man Uses Tire Iron to Steal Two Cans of Beer

A man in Santa Rosa threatened a convenience store clerk with a  tire iron and stole two 40-ounce beers Friday morning when he found out he  couldn't buy liquor after 2 a.m., according to police.

Officers responded to a petty theft report at Fast Lane Gas Food  Mart on 50 W. College Ave. where multiple witnesses told police a customer  became angry at about 2:45 a.m. when he was told he couldn't purchase alcohol  and stole two large bottles of beer, according to the Santa Rosa Police  Department.
 
The mad customer fled in a minivan, according to police, described  as a 1980s Chevrolet Astro or a GMC Safari.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man with a moustache and  goatee, around 22 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He  reportedly has a tattoo of green barbed wire around his neck.
