Small Earthquake Shakes Near Gilroy: USGS

A 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck near Gilroy late Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck at 8:15 p.m., about 6 miles east of Gilroy near the San Luis Reservoir, the USGS said. 

It was realtively shallow at just 4 kilometers deep, according to USGS figures.
