Super Bowl City, Bay Lights Draw Crowds to San Francisco

People flocked to San Francisco Saturday evening to watch fireworks and the return of Bay Lights -- the decorative display on San Francisco's Bay Bridge -- light up the city’s famous skyline.

Visitors and San Franciscans alike looked on in awe of the displays.

"It’s great," said Kim Callendar, a San Francisco resident. "One of the best fireworks shows I’ve ever seen."

Still, some who came to see the lights opted to stay away from the Super Bowl City festivities happening nearby due to large crowds.

Carlos Aquilar enjoyed the fan village at the Super Bowl shindig – especially the zip line – but he suggested that others come early if they want to get in on the fun. He said a lot of the interactive games and technology games filled up pretty quickly.

But with a week to go before the Big Game, there’s still plenty of time to visit.
