Thousands of Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers are still
without power Monday morning due to outages in various parts of the Bay Area,
according to a PG&E spokeswoman.
PG&E spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said 2,476 customers in Foster City
are without power this morning. The cause of that outage, which started
shortly before midnight and originally left 3,482 customers without power, is
under investigation, she said.
Ehlers said PG&E hopes to have power restored to the customers by
8 a.m.
An additional 118 customers are without power in Aptos after a
tree fell on power lines in the area, according to Ehlers. The outage
originally left 674 customers without power, she said.
Power has been restored to 5,988 Salinas residents after an outage
earlier today, according to Ehlers, who said the power was restored to all
customers in the area by about 4:55 a.m.
There are also small outages in the North Bay and East Bay due to
weather-related incidents, Ehlers said.
