Police are looking for a gunman who walked up to a 6-year-old Georgia boy who was riding his bike and shot him in the chest at point-blank range, NBC News reported.
Police first suspected that Ni-Shawn Moore, who was able to walk and talk, was shot with a BB gun.
It wasn’t until his mother drove him to the hospital that doctors discovered the boy was shot with a .22-caliber weapon, according to police. Doctors did not remove the bullet, which is lodged in his chest.
