Armed men abducted two Turkish Airlines pilots in Lebanon early on Friday from a bus that was carrying them from Beirut airport to a hotel , Reuters reported. Turkish officials and the airline said they were in close contact with Lebanese authorities but had not information on who orchestrated the kidnapping. Turkey has backed rebels battling to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and may have influence over fighters who captured Lebanese Shi'ites close to the Turkish border in northern Syria last year.
