Head of S. Korean Ferry Company Detained

South Korean prosecutors on Thursday detained the head of the company that owns the ferry that capsized last month, NBC News reported. Kim Han-sik, president of Chonghaejin Marine Company, was detained Thursday ahead of his possible formal arrest on allegations that he knew the ferry exceeded its cargo limit but didn't prevent the trip, according to senior prosecutor Yang Jung-jin. The ferry sank on April 16, leaving over 300 people dead or missing.
