World, your Facebook privacy settings -- no matter how you've failed to understand or implement them -- are safe. At least from Anonymous.
The hacktivist group is, by its nature, difficult to pin down. But some members, using their usual Twitter account, have said that "rogue" hackers may have created Operation Facebook, according to AllFacebook.com.
FindingFacebook.com also surfaced some data that indicates it may not be a full-on operation. First, days, not weeks, of notice is typical of the group. Second, it took a while for the entire Op_Facebook to be reported.
Full transparency: this site held the story until it was more of a meme than a confirmed threat.

Some of the tweets from @anonops, the group's normal feed, include: "TO PRESS: MEDIAS OF THE WORLD... STOP LYING! #OpFacebook is just ANOTHER FAKE! WE DONT "KILL" THE MESSENGER. THAT'S NOT OUR STYLE #Anonymous"
Either way, it's probably smart to anticipate some shoe will drop on Guy Fawkes Day. It's just a matter of who will be missing a shoe.
