There is a big NASCAR race in Sonoma this weekend which brings the sport of racing to the Bay Area.

One of the most popular drivers, Danica Patrick, used the Bay Area competition to promote the company she helped put of the map. Patrick dropped by Go Daddy's Sunnyvale office.

She had a meet and greet with company employees and their children to talk about what its like to break through in today's media landscape.

Patrick said her infamous Super Bowl ads for Go Daddy were a win win for both her and her sponsor.

Go Daddy opened the Sunnyvale office earlier this year because it wanted to tap into what it called "a big pool of high-tech talent" in Silicon Valley.

As for Patrick's weekend race. The Sonoma Raceway is one of the few tracks on the NASCAR schedule where she has some experience.

She's made seven starts here, but they came in IndyCar Series.

According to Patrick's website, she is hoping to run a smooth and clean race this weekend, avoid any shoes on course, and build upon a solid 13th-place finish she and the GoDaddy team scored last week at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.
