Live Blog: Raiders Blackout vs. Texans

(1-2) Raiders vs. (2-1) Texans

Live from the Coliseum -- the Oakland Raiders vs. Houston Texans -- NBC Bay Area interactive blog. The (1-2) Raiders meet the (2-1) Texans for the fifth consecutive season.

The first half started and ended with a frenzy. The Raiders and Texans traded first half touchdowns as Houston's first drive spanned 90-yards capped by a 33-yard Derrick Ward touchdown run.

Oakland countered with a Michael Bush 2-yard dive for a touchdown before the Texans made it 14-7 as Schaub found tight end Joel Dreessen on a 11-yard touchdown pass to end the quarter.

Gradkowski pulled out the stops on a second quarter drive where fullback Marcell Reece found his way into the endzone with a 13-yard touchdown catch to tie the game at 14. The Texans had a chance to take the halftime lead but Neil Rackers hit the post on a 46-yard field goal attempt as time expired.

Regardless, it took Houston two plays to break the tie once the third quarter began. Texans running back and the NFL's leading rusher coming into the game, Arian Foster, blasted off for a 74-yard touchdown run after being used sparingly in the first half due to what was deemed a coach's decision.
