‘Dodger Killer' Justin Verlander Hit With $1 Million Tab at Beverly Hills Hotel

Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander picked up a heavy tab for his reputation as a "Dodger Killer." Over $1 million, to be exact.

Verlander, who split a pair of games in Los Angeles during Houston's seven-game World Series win last October, tweeted a picture of his receipt from the Beverly Hills Hotel on Friday which showed his lunch cost him $1,095,198.20.

That's still within his price range, as the tab represents about 0.39 percent of Verlander's $28 million annual salary.

With that kind of precedent, check back here next week when Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Paul Goldschmidt gets hit with a seven-figure tab at a restaurant in San Francisco ahead of his series against the Giants.
