A's Back Within 1 1/2 Games After Beating Astros Late

Tied 3-3 in the ninth, the A's broke through with a ninth-inning rally that propelled them to a big 4-3 win over the Astros on Tuesday night.

Nick Martini's ground rule double in the top of the ninth scored Ramon Laureano to give the A's their second lead of the night.

Blake Treinen came on in the bottom of the inning and shut the door on the Astros. The win moves the A's back to within 1 1/2 games of Houston. The teams will play the final game of the series on Wednesday.
