A's Complete Sweep of Tigers, But End Home Run Record

In a pitcher's duel, the A's record of hitting a home run in a road game came to an on Wednesday night. The record was halted at 27 games.

No matter though, the A's completed a four-game sweep of the Tigers with a 2-0 win.

Chris Bassitt earned the victory despite walking five batters. Over six innings, Bassitt allowed just two hits and struck out five to bring his ERA down to 2.82. 

Jed Lowrie was the lone batter the A's to end the night with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with two doubles. 

The A's are now 43-38 on the year.
