A's Vs. Pirates Lineup: Chris Bassitt Hopes to Continue Hot Streak

A's catcher Josh Phegley made history by becoming the first catcher in franchise history with eight RBI in a game. That's a lot. His current 21-season total is the most by a catcher in Major League Baseball.

"I've been telling guys I had a really good month today out here," Phegley told MLB Network after the A's dominated the Pirates, 14-1

The Green and Gold will face Trevor Williams with Chris Bassitt getting starting honors.

Bassitt is coming off a dazzling performance on the mound against the Blue Jays when he tossed seven complete innings allowing one run and striking out nine. He boasts a 0.75 ERA heading into Saturday's matchup.

The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reported A's center fielder Ramón Laureano will be out against the Pirates:

Robbie Grossman will take over center field responsibilities.
