A's Vs. White Sox Lineups: Tanner Roark to Start Against Hometown Team

It will be a homecoming for Tanner Roark on Saturday night, as the A's right-hander makes his first career start against the White Sox.

Roark was born in Wilmington, Illinois, just southwest of Chicago, and attended college at the University of Illinois. The 32-year-old will be making his second start for the A's after getting traded from the Cincinnati Reds. Roark earned the win in his first start, allowing one run in five innings against the Cardinals.

For the season, Roark is 7-7 with a 4.14 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 22 starts. He will try to keep Oakland unbeaten against the White Sox this year -- the A's have won the first four meetings.

Chicago will counter with right-hander Reynaldo López. The 25-year-old is 6-9 with a 5.41 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 23 starts this year. In two career starts against Oakland, Lopez is 0-1 with a 1.80 ERA.

The A's will send out their familiar lineup in game two of the series. Robbie Grossman and Chris Herrmann return after missing Friday's game in favor of Chad Pinder and Dustin Garneau. Grossman will bat second, while Herrmann will hit ninth.

Here are the full lineups for the A's-White Sox game, which will be broadcast on NBC Sports California and the MyTeams app. Coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. PT, with first pitch at 4:10.
