A's First Game at New Yankee Stadium PPD

Oakland at New York rained out Monday

There was yet another first at the new Yankee Stadium Monday, but it didn't call for any celebration. The park saw its first rainout as the game between the A's and New York was postponed.

Oakland's Dana Eveland was set to face the Yankees Andy Pettitte, but both were pushed back to Tuesday.

The A's will pitch Brett Anderson on Wednesday. Vallejo-native CC Sabathia was expecting to face Oakland during the series.

Other news from New York manager Joe Girardi regarding pitching is his decision to bypass Chien-Ming Wang for his next start. Wang has been roughed up in his past few outings.

After spending the past seven seasons in pinstripes, Jason Giambi addressed the New York media Monday saying that he had a great time playing for the Yankees and has no regrets looking back.

As for the Monday's missed game, no makeup date has been announced.

Oakland returns to New York for another three-game set from July 24-26.
