A strange scene transpired at Madison Square Garden Wednesday night during the Clippers-Knicks game.
Oakley, 53, shoved a security guard and was escorted out of the arena.
The team's PR department released the following statement on Twitter: "Charles Oakley came to the game tonight and behaved in a highly inappropirate and completely abusive manner. He has been ejected and is currently being arrested by the New York Ciry Police Department. He was a great Knick and we hope he gets some help soon."
An All-Star in 1994, Oakley played 10 seasons for the Knicks from 1988 to 1998, averaging 10.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 33 minutes per game.
