Arizona Fall League Roundup: Eight Giants in Action

The Arizona Fall League hosts six teams of many top prospects in all of baseball each year starting in the second week of October.

This year eight players in the Giants farm system are representing the Orange and Black on the Scottsdale Scorprions. The team also consists of prospects from the Angels, Mets, Phillies, and Yankees.

Below are the eight Giants prospects on the Scorpions, managed by Mets first base coach Tom Goodwin, and their stats through a maximum possible total of 10 games.

-- The Scorpions hitting coach is former Giants first baseman Damon Minor, who spent four seasons (2000-2002, 2004) with San Francisco. Minor hit .232/.338/.400 with 13 home runs in his four-year career. 

-- Catcher Eliezer Zambrano's .400 average leads the team, but his four games played is a team-low. 

-- Outfielder Hunter Cole ranks second on the team in both hits and home runs. He also leads the team with 38 at-bats. 

-- Infielder Ryder Jones leads the team in strikeouts at the plate. 

-- RHP Tyler Rogers Rogers is one of only two pitchers on the team yet to allow an earned run. 

-- RHP Chris Stratton leads the team in games started and innings pitched. He also ranks second in strikeouts. 

-- RHP Rodolfo Martinez' ERA ranks last on the team after his four games pitched. 

-- Mets outfielder and former Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow is only hitting .125/.176/.156 in nine games played. His on-base percentage is second worst on the team while his batting average and slugging percentage rank third from last.
