Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Evan Longoria Looks to Build on Power Surge

What the heck has gotten into the Giants?

After beating the Padres 10-4 Tuesday night, San Francisco has now scored double-digit runs in three consecutive games for the first time since 2010. Unsurprisingly, they've won all three. The Giants will try to make it four in a row when they face San Diego in the series finale at Petco Park on Wednesday.

In going for the series sweep, San Francisco will turn to right-hander Shaun Anderson (3-2, 3.86 ERA), who will be making the 10th start of his rookie season. Anderson is coming off a start in which he went 5.2 innings and got the win in a 6-3 victory over the Diamondbacks. In his only previous start against the Padres, he limited San Diego to two runs in six innings while getting the win in a 4-2 victory back on June 12.

Anderson won't be the only rookie taking the mound Wednesday night, as Cal Quantrill (2-2, 4.66 ERA) will start for the Padres. In 11 career appearances (seven starts), Quantrill has posted a 1.36 WHIP and limited hitters to a .268 batting average over 36.2 innings.

The Giants will go with a lefty-heavy lineup against San Diego's right-hander, although both Evan Longoria and Kevin Pillar remain in it after combining for eight hits, six RBI and two home runs in Tuesday's win.
