Source: P Marquette King Fined for Unsportsmanlike Conduct

ALAMEDA – Marquette King got in some trouble after a Raiders failed to convert a fake punt in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Denver Broncos. The execution, however, wasn't at issue.

The aftermath was a problem. King threw a football at Denver fullback Andy Janovich and connected, an action that drew a personal foul penalty.

It cost the Raiders 15 yards. It'll also hit King in the pocketbook.

The NFL fined King $9,115 for unsportsmanlike conduct, a source told NBC Sports Bay Area.

The flag is King's fourth in the past two seasons. He is the only punter to incur a personal foul penalty in that span.

Head coach Jack Del Rio wasn't happy with the penalty, and said Monday he would talk to King in person the following day.

"It's maturity. That's what I need to communicate with him. I will, in person," Del Rio said Monday. "That's all it is. It's a matter of being mature enough to put the team ahead of yourself and being able to handle those emotions when you're disappointed. Sometimes you're disappointed and you want to lash out because it maybe makes you feel good for about three seconds. Then you deal with the consequences. Those weren't good consequences. We were fortunate there. It's another opportunity for him to learn how important it is to keep things under control."
