As the Warriors continue their drive toward Olympic goal medals, they're taking Team USA along for the ride.
Warriors stars Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant combined for 36 points Friday to lead the U.S. men's basketball squad to a 82-76 semifinal win over Spain. Team USA advances to the gold-medal game Sunday and will face the winner of the Australia-Croatia semifinal later Friday.
Thompson scored 22 points, Durant tossed in 14 and Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving added 13 points.
Another major presence: DeAndre Jordan. Starting for the second consecutive game, the Clippers center finished with 9 points and 16 rebounds (tying an Olympics record), adding four blocked shots. He essentially owned the paint.
Though Team USA never trailed, it never quite took full possession of the game. Spain cut a 10-point second-quarter deficit to six before halftime. The national team twice led by 13 in the fourth quarter, only to have to Spaniards rally both times to keep the game competitive.
Team USA was led in scoring by a Warrior for the third consecutive game. Durant totaled 27 points in the quarterfinal win over Argentina on Wednesday, and Thompson put in 30 in a victory over France last Sunday.

How the Warriors fared:
Durant: 14 points (6-of-13 shooting from the field, 3-of-6 from beyond the arc), eight rebounds and one assist. Starting at forward and playing 30 minutes, Durant moved past LeBron James into second place (behind Carmelo Anthony) on the all-time U.S. Olympic scoring list.
Draymond Green: 0 points (0-of-1), zero rebounds and zero assists. He came off the bench and played two minutes.
Thompson: 22 points (8-of-16, 4-of-8), four rebounds, three assists and two blocks. He started at guard, playing 35 minutes.
