Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Mauricio Dubon Gets Another Look, Bats Eighth

A night after getting a hit and playing alongside his heroes, Giants second baseman Mauricio Dubon is getting another look.

The 25-year-old will bat eighth Friday night against the San Diego Padres at Oracle Park, the same spot he started in Thursday night during his San Francisco debut. Dubon finished the night 1-for-3 at the plate and made a strong defensive play in the second inning when he robbed Wil Myers of a hit.

Myers and the Padres got the last laugh Thursday, however, as San Diego took the series opener with a 5-3 win. Madison Bumgarner will try to get the Giants back on track Friday, and the Giants ace can move over .500 for just the second time all season if he picks up his ninth win of the year. The Padres might be the team Bumgarner wants to face most, as he has more complete games against San Diego (three) than any other club.

First pitch at Oracle Park is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. PT. Coverage begins at 6 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area and streaming on the MyTeams app.
