The Giants have gotten off to a rough start in 2019, losing all four series so far. They start a new series with the Colorado Rockies on Thursday night hoping for better results.
Jeff Samardzija gets the ball for the struggling club (4-9). He is coming off a so-so outing where he gave up 3 runs in 4.2 innings. He will oppose Rockies right-hander Jon Gray, who surrendered 5 runs in 6 innings of work in his last start against the Dodgers.
Colorado (3-9) is also off to a disappointing start to the season after making the playoffs in 2018.
The Giants will line up as follows in Game 1:
