With their first-round pick in last month's NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Michigan guard Jordan Poole.
A couple weeks later, the Dubs signed former Michigan wing Glenn Robinson III in free agency.
As you are well aware, Golden State forward Draymond Green went to Michigan State and doesn't exactly have a lot of love for the Wolverines (although he admitted earlier this year that he almost went to Michigan).
Late last week, Robinson revealed a hilarious story during a radio appearance on KNBR 680 that further exemplifies the intensity of the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year:
"I got a funny story about him from the first time I had ever talked to Draymond -- actually was through a text. So, I was sitting in a summer class getting ready for my freshman year of college at Michigan.
"And I think Draymond was back and he was playing some open gyms up at Michigan State. And all of a sudden I get a text message from an unknown number and it goes, 'Hey, you need to get up to Michigan State and come join these open gym games right now. It's Day Day.'
"And I'm like, 'Who? Who is Day Day? Who is this crazy dude texting me?' Somebody cussing me out on text messages (laughter). And on the fly he's like, 'It's Draymond. Get up here now.'
"First time I ever talked to him he was already yelling at me."
And Draymond is sure to yell at Robinson a lot now that they are teammates in the NBA.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of overall approach Draymond takes next season because the Dubs are not going to be as strong defensively as they've been in recent years.
He's going to get frustrated and people will feel his wrath. GRIII -- consider yourself warned.
