Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings is giving fans a look inside her world five days ahead of the Rio Opening Ceremony.
The beach volleyball player is the subject of a new documentary, “Kerri Walsh Jennings: Gold Within.”
Shot over 11 months, the film is set to show an intimate view of Walsh Jennings' life, covering everything from the challenges of motherhood to seeing her Olympic dreams nearly slip away after an injury halted her campaign to qualify for the Rio Games.
"It seemed like such a big honor and such a big opportunity to show everything that goes into it," Walsh Jennings said in an interview with the AP. "We're a pretty open-book family; we kind of lead with our hearts. There's nothing to hide."
The documentary, produced by Tribeca Digital Studios and Dick’s Sporting Goods Films, will premiere on NBC on July 31 at 4 pm E.T.
