Report: Kevin Durant Willing to Take Less Than Max Deal From Warriors

Kevin Durant is reportedly willing to leave some money on the table.

He would take less than a max deal this July in order to help the Warriors retain some of their key players, according to an ESPN report.

Last summer, Durant signed a two-year deal that included a player option in Year 2. He is expected to opt out because of another jump in the salary cap.

But he is expected to stay with Golden State moving forward and has said on multiple occcasions that he has no plans on leaving in free agency.

Steph Curry, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Ian Clark, Zaza Pachulia, JaVale McGee and David West will all be unrestricted free agents.

Klay Thompson is under contract through the 2018-19 season and Draymond Green's deal runs through the 2019-20 campaign.
