The 2016-17 regular season could be in jeopardy for Kevin Durant.
The Warriors and Durant's inner-circle are preparing themselves for bad news, according to Yahoo Sports.
According to the report, the fear is that Durant will be out for months, not weeks.
The playoffs start in six weeks, meaning Durant could miss some playoff games.

Durant injured his left knee just 57 seconds into Tuesday's game in Washington. The Warriors announced that their star forward hyperextended his left knee and would undergo an MRI. The results of the test are expected to be revealed Wednesday.
In the wake of the Durant injury, the Warriors intend to sign veteran forward Matt Barnes, a league source confirmed to CSNBayArea.com late Tuesday night.
