Sharks Vs. Ducks Live Stream: Watch 2018-19 NHL Season Opener Online

The Sharks are excited Erik Karlsson is on board. The Ducks are bummed Corey Perry will be out for five months.

Talk about two teams on the opposite sides of the emotional spectrum entering the 2018-19 NHL season.

The Pacific Division rivals will open their respective campaigns against each other Wednesday night at SAP Center, and San Jose certainly is the team riding good feelings. The Sharks swept Anaheim out of the playoffs last season, and in the offseason, they swung a trade for Karlsson, the two-time Norris Trophy-winning defenseman who turned them into instant Stanley Cup contenders.

The Ducks likely aren't entertaining such illusions, with Perry, a noted Sharks pest, needed surgery to repair knee problems just last week. Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler and other offensive weapons remain, but losing Perry could be a hard pill for Anaheim to swallow.

Here's how you can watch the Sharks-Ducks NHL season opener live on TV and online.
