Warriors Assistant Mike Brown: ‘That Team's Gonna Be Dangerous'

With a record of 29-8, the Warriors are in first place in the Western Conference.

The Rockets -- at 26-9 -- are in second.

Is Houston the biggest threat to Golden State?

"There are othe teams out there that we know can step up to the plate at any time," Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown said on KNBR 680 on Wednesday morning. "I'll tell you a team that people need to respect is Oklahoma City. They started off slow. They're starting to find their rhythm a little bit.

"When you have those three types of All-Stars at that high of a level, anything can happen at any time, as long as you defend as a group."

The Thunder (20-17) are currently in fifth place in the West.

They have lost two straight, but they are 12-5 over their last 17 games.

Oklahoma City boasts the fourth best defensive rating (102.3) in the league. The Warriors are third (101.6).

"The one thing they've (the Thunder) done for the most part -- even when they've been losing -- they've done a pretty good job on the defensive end of the floor," Brown said. "That team's gonna be dangerous down the stretch."

On Nov. 22, Golden State lost in Oklahoma City 108-91.

The Warriors host the Thunder on Feb. 6 and Feb. 24, and play in OKC on April 3.
