Amazon is getting into the non-online retail business. For a little while, anyway.
The online retailer is planning to open temporary "pop-up" stores in San Francisco and Sacramento, according to IGN.com.
San Francisco will likely see an Amazon.com store in the Westfield Centre mall near Powell Street, with the Sacramento-area store to be in Roseville at the Westfield Galleria.
The pop-up locations will offer customers the opportunity to play with the new Fire TV as well as Amazon's other tangible offerings, all of which can then be purchased online.
