The customer is always right, unless they're rude.
At least that's what Elon Musk seems to think. The Tesla CEO personally canceled the SUV order of someone he later called a "super rude customer," a venture capitalist who had published a negative blog post about the ModelX launch.
According to Mashable, Stewart Alsop, a venture capitalist with a 20-year history in tech journalism, wrote that he demanded an apology from Musk for making attendees of the ModelX launch event, who had all pre-ordered a vehicle, wait for two hours for the event to start, and then they had to wait to test drive a model.
For his part, Musk is unimpressed with the attention his action received.
"Must be a slow news day if denying service to a super rude customer gets this much attention," he wrote in a tweet that has been liked more than 8,800 times on Twitter.
