The 2nd annual World Dog Surfing Championships are coming back to the Bay Area on August 5 in Pacifica!

This dog charity event, organized by TasteTV, originated a decade ago in San Diego and has since spread across multiple other coastal states, along with Australia and Great Britain.

Sponsored by Pet Renu and Fido Pet Products, events during the day include surfing and costume contests for both pets and people, a pet wellness fair with professionals in the veterinary industry, and mobile pet adoptions. Additionally, there will be dog surfing lessons prior to the event.

The entry fee for the surf competition is $30 per dog with no charge for their accompanying person, and proceeds benefit local charities such as The Peninsula Humane Society and Rocket Dog Rescue.
