Outside Lands Lines Up Food

GOLDEN GATE PARK—The preliminary list of food vendors for Outside Lands has been announced, and the list of nearly 30 local restaurants and eateries is pretty impressive (and still being updated).

Some of the bigger names are Taylor's Automatic Refresher, Hog Island, Dosa, Little Skillet, Namu and Yats, Asqew Grill, Burgermeister, Charles Chocolates, Farmer Brown’s Little Skillet, Full of Life Flatbread, Gordo Tacqueria, It's-It Ice Cream, Lydia's Lovin' Foods, Mission Minis, just to name a select few.

But about those ticket prices, which many people complain are too expensive to even get them in the door to stand in long lines to order the overpriced food.

The concert itself will feature Pearl Jam, M.I.A., the Beastie Boys, Dead Weather, Ween, TV on the Radio, Tom Jones and a bunch more.

WESTERN ADDITION—Zagat reports that Hyde Street Bistro owner Jacques Manuera, fresh off his new partnership with Metro Cafe, will be opening another French-inspired bistro, called 560 Central Park and due sometime in early autumn. [Zagat]

HAYES VALLEY—The new issue of Bon Appetit isn't up online yet, but Bar Jules has been named one of the country's top ten new American restaurants, and the lamb gets a nod as the signature dish. [GS]

THE MISSION—There's going to be meatgasms aplenty—that, or heart-attacks—at Pal's Take Away Friday, with some help from Dynamo Donuts: "Tomorrow: dynamo donut bacon biscuit w/ Becker lane roast pork &cheddar beer sauce, pickled shallots, wild arugula, nice." [MM]
