Whole Foods Wants to Bring Street Food Indoors

How far has street food come in San Francisco? Whole Foods is in talks to bring a bunch of them indoors, that's how far.

The caviar of organic grocery stores recently held a fundraiser for the SF Street Food, which is taking place this weekend. But beyond raising cash for the foodie fest, the Portrero Hill Whole Foods says it wants to bring some street foodies indoor, according to SFoodie.

Whole Food's Local Products Forager Harvindar Singhheld told crowds at the fundraiser that he is working on having street food vendors such as Curry Up Now and Liba Falafel to possibly serve food out of the store. He also hopes to offer packaged products from mobile vendors.

That's potentially great news for all the people who can't afford to shop at Whole Foods.
