SF Sketchfest 2016 Lineup: Sally Field, Patton Oswalt Among Notables

Actress Sally Field is among the surprising headliners planned for the 15th edition of SF Sketchfest.

The festival is scheduled to take place across 200 events in 19 different San Francisco venues from Jan. 7-24, 2016.

Field will appear for a guest screening and Q&A in support of the film "Hello, My Name is Doris" and as a "guest monologist" with comedy crew Upright Citizens Brigade.

Among the expected programming highlights is a conversation between comedian Patton Oswalt and Oakland music artist Boots Riley, a "Sesquicentennial" celebration of the film "Waiting for Guffman," San Francisco drag queen icon Peaches Christ taking on "Teen Witch," a stage rendition of cult Comedy Central program "Drunk History" and a live performance by UC Santa Cruz grads Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum's captivating Prince cover band Princess.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Sunday and many are expected to sell out quickly.
