No clubbing for LiLo.

Lindsay Lohan began serving her house arrest term Thursday morning, and she'll be stuck inside her Venice, Calif., townhouse for at least a couple of weeks. The sentence stems from her no-contest plea to stealing a $2,500 necklace while on probation for driving drunk. The perpetually troubled actress reported to the Lynwood Jail at 5:02 a.m., then learned she was eligible for home confinement, People magazine reported.

"She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the magazine.

The "Mean Girls" star will wear an electronic ankle bracelet to ensure she doesn't wander off. She faces a maximum of four months, but with good behavior, she could be free in two weeks. The state is battling an epic prison overcrowding issue, which likely helped make Lohan eligible to serve her sentence at home.

Lohan, 24, also must do 480 hours of community service under the terms of her sentence, which she canot do while serving home confinement.

Earlier this month, Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner ordered Lohan to serve a 120-day jail sentence and remain on probation in a 2007 drunken driving case. The judge also ordered psychological counseling after reviewing a probation report that showed Lohan tested positive for alcohol in February, a little more than a month after she was released from rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic.

The report also said authorities found evidence the actress had been drinking in December while receiving treatment at Betty Ford, where she had been sent for three months of treatment last year after failing a drug screen. The report indicated she had tested positive for cocaine and amphetamines during the court-mandated drug test in September.

A rehab worker at the center accused Lohan of pushing her during a confrontation over curfew in December. Lohan was not charged in the case, but police investigated claims she and some companions from rehab were drinking.
