Katy Perry Asked For Photo Revision on “Divas” Poster

Katy Perry’s larger-than-life image recently got a makeover—and this time it was her own doing, not by other people.

The pop star Tweeted on Friday that it was her who requested that her chest be reduced in the poster for the upcoming  "VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops" special, People reported. In it, Perry is depicted in parachute gear.

“Silly press check it: I was the one who asked VH1 to tone down my DIGITALIZED image on the poster, particularly the size of my chest,” Perry wrote on her Twitter page.

She added: "...& I don't have handlers... but someone @VH1 offices is a gossipmonger & thought they could use a little extra press planting the story.”

Last week, a source told US Weekly that Perry’s team thought the star’s breasts appeared too big in the ad. "It's true,” said another source to the magazine. “The ads are being redone!"

Perry’s chest has been the source of attention when her segment with Elmo on Sesame Street was canned because her dress exposed too much of her cleavage.

In addition to Perry, the VH1 special, to air Dec. 5, will also feature acts Keri Hilson, Paramore, Sugarland, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Nicki Minaj. It will be hosted by Kathy Griffin.
