Xtina Cries, Javier Shines in “The Voice”

Four went home as the singing show approaches the semi finals.

The stakes at "The Voice" keep getting higher as the competition rounds down to the final eight. In a live, two-hour super-episode, two members each from Team Christina and Team Blake went home, while Team Adam and Team CeeLo showed America -- and their superstar coaches -- what they've got. So who's closer to winning the $100,000 prize and record deal?

TEAM CHRISTINA: The Final Two

It was an emotional night for Christina, who had nothing but overwhelming praise for the singers on her team. "My heart's beating so fast," the singer said, "I believe in you girls so much." But alas, America had chose their favorite and Aguilera had to pick a lady to advance with her to the semi finals. Beverly McClellan won with the highest number of votes with her edgy, androgynous style. "You've set your own for this show," Aguilera praised.  The pop star tapped another smooth-headed lady, Frenchie Davis, to advance along with her. That leaves 16-year-old Raquel Castro and Lilly Elise to stay behind.

Saved: Beverly McClellan and Frenchie Davis
Eliminated: Raquel Castro and Lily Elise

TEAM  BLAKE: The Final Two

Blake was also "dreading the moment" where he'd have to say goodbye to two of his team members. America decided to save Dia Frampton, the piano-playing brunette. "She deserves it," Blake said. He then looked intently at the remaining three performers and after much deliberation, finally went with Xenia. "They feed off each other," Blake said, "in my heart I know I did the right thing."

Eliminated: Jared Black and Patrick Thomas

TEAM ADAM LEVINE: The Performances

Casey Weston was pushed outside of her comfort zone and forced NOT to sing a ballad and it went… pretty well. The Florida native performed "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree." "I know you were a little not so excited about this, but I'm telling you, you were amazing," the Maroon Five crooner told his protege.

Devon Barley put aside his quirky dork charm and dressed nearly identical to Carson Daly in a leather jacket and a tie. His rendition of "Stop and Stare" had some pitch problems, but he particularly won over Cee-Lo and Christina. "I think they're falling in love with you on live television," commented Carson Daly.

Things took a serious turn when Jeff Jenkins sang "Jesus Take the Wheel," which he said was "about that dark time I went through after [my mom] passed away." "There's something about your presence and the power of your voice that commands attention," Levine said.

Javier Colon took on "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan and blew all the judges away with his soulful voice. "You really made it your own," Christina said, admitting she was almost jealous he wasn't on her team. Adam said it was "absolutely perfect.

TEAM CEE-LO: The Performances

When coaching sisters Tori and Taylor Thompson, the Cee-Lo Green wanted the girls to do something unexpected and different. He went back--way back-- and recommended a 40s era Andrew Sisters oldie, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." WIth pin-up girl outfits and dancing sailors in the background, they definitely captured the theme, although they sounded out of breath towards the end. "It's flag day!" Carson exclaimed. "Were the outfits your idea, Cee Lo? Because you're sick," Blake joked.

Vicci Martinez impressed the judges with "Joline." Adam described the performance as "soulful, raw…honest." She started out with and intimate vibe, playing her guitar close to the audience, and then put it down and rocked out on stage. "It was a very heartfelt performance," Christina said.

Nakia took on "Sex on Fire," complete with back up dancers spinning flaming sticks. "He pointed at me and he said, 'Your sex is on fire' and I felt the burn," Blake said.

Country crooner from Texas, Curtis Grimes, donned a cowboy hat for "Addicted to Love." "You really wear a cowboy hat," said Adam. "I'm jealous of your voice. It's really deep and manly." After some gossip about who Grimes was hooking up with on the show (one of the back up dancers?) Cee-Lo concluded that his singer was "kicking ass tonight."
