“Biggest Loser” Trainer Jillian Michaels Gets Her Own NBC Show

"Losing it With Jillian" to debut eight-episode run next year

Jillian Michaels has helped dozens of contestants lose major amounts of weight on NBC's "Biggest Loser" and now she is getting her own show on the network.

"Losing It With Jillian" will find the pint-sized fitness guru visiting different families each week to help them get to the bottom of the issues that affect their health and happiness.

Jillian will then help give the families she visits the tools they need to make life-altering changes.

"I'm going in for a week and educating them for one week, in their home, based on the money they have available to them and the resources they have available to them," Jillian told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and "The Billy Bush Show." "Then we are issuing them a challenge; then we will be back to check on them and see if they were able to do it."

Jillian said they are hoping to show that by turning over a good leaf, positive changes can happen.

"On 'Biggest Loser,' it seems like it's about heavy and skinny but that's never what its really about," she said. "It's about losing the weight and getting healthy so that you will be healthy in every other facet of your life and that's what we're hoping to show, on my show."

Celebrity chef Curtis Stone will help out the process by exterminating unhealthy foods from the families' kitchens.
