Photos: Celebrating Fleet Week in NYC

U.S. Navy sailors are handed passes to a nightclub as they leave a pier on the Hudson River. Due to budgets resulting from the economic crisis, Fleet Week, which brings an array of warships to New York City's harbors on Memorial Day weekend, is being celebrated this year with the smallest flotilla of ships since the event began 22 years ago.

Fleet Week New York is the city's celebration of the sea services and also provides a chance for New Yorkers and visitors to meet sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen and learn more about modern-day maritime services, the Navy said.
