Bay Area Rapid Transit passengers ride on a train. Soon they may be able to ride all the way to San Jose.
Down to the wire.
The final votes are being counted for Measure B, which would impose a sales tax to help bring Bart to San Jose.
But no matter how close the final outcome is, there will be no automatic recount.
As of Wednesday evening, Measure B has 66.74 percent with 33.26 percent of the people voting no.
The registrar said it has 3,000 votes left to count.
They said an official announcement will be made Friday on whether the measure has passed or not.
Voters can request a recount, by paying for the cost.
That's because for ballot measures, a recount only affects the number of yes and no votes and not how close the result is to the necessary majority.
