Cancel your fireplace plans for Sunday, Bay Area.

The beautiful sunshine and low wind means that pollution from wood smoke will stay over the area and stagnate, according to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which is asking the area's residents not to burn wood on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

Hear that? So don't burn wood on Sunday. Please.

The air pollution-watchers stopped short of declaring a "Spare the Air Day" day, which means that wood can in theory be burned. But burning wood could lead the air quality to get bad enough for a Spare the Air Day to be called before the winter season ends on Feb. 29.
